We are cast and have started auditions! It was such a pleasure to meet all together for the first time at our read-through. I want to welcome the ensemble to the project: Sandi Hilton (performer), Jacqueline Fay (performer), Maya Jarvis (Designer), Bronna Levy (performer), Manon Manavit (Stage Manager), Caitie Parsons (performer), and Jacqueline van de Geer (performer). We are finished auditions – thank you so much to everyone who came out! Now for the process of casting and scheduling! It is quite a project and very exciting – we’ve decided to cast five performers to cover almost 30 roles! I hope to finalize casting by tomorrow and be able to announce the ensemble on our website by the end of the week. Stay tuned!

Uncatalogued Productions is now casting for our spring production of The Dybbuk. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd from 6-8 pm and on Sunday, March 27th from 11 am – 1 pm. If you would like to audition, please contact Avia through our contact page. We will be casting 5 to 7 actors for this production. Most ensemble members will play multiple roles. The production will be full of movement, music, and song. Rehearsals will start in April.

The principle characters include:
Leah: a young woman (15-30) who becomes possessed by the soul of the boy she was destined to marry. Leah is a Juliet, strong and intelligent, searching for something beyond the confines of her prescribed life.

Sender: Leah’s father, a good man whose heart has been clouded by the love of wealth.

Rabbi Azrael: the Rabbi who banishes the Dybbuk from Leah’s body.

This production is a labour of love, however all company members will share equally in the box office returns.
